Erica Cerra was born in Toronto, Canada on 31 October 1979. Her best-known role is as her role as deputy Jo Lupo from the Syfy television series Eureka. Cerra was born in British Columbia born of Italian descent who was born at Vancouver. At the age of eight, she became enamored with acting, and was featured in numerous commercials for television.
